Gulf Of Khambhat Vessel Traffic & Port Management Services (VTPMS)
We take pride to enterinto the maritime community with full fledged VTMS project for Gulf Of Khambhat (GoKH), Gujarat, India to provide 24*7 surveillance and monitoring of coastal regions of GoKH. We financed, commissioned, installed VTMS Gokh adopting state of art technologies from our Joint Venture (JV) partner KONGSBERG, Norway.
On September 1, 2010, Aatash Norcontrol and Kongsberg Norcontrol IT made history when VTS operations commenced in the Gulf of Khambhat, Gujarat,India.This milestone in the first BOOT (Build, Own,Operate, Transfer) VTS was reached when Aatash Norcontrol received a Commencement Certificate from the Gujarat Maritime Board on August 15, 2010,which allowed VTS operation to begin in the Gulf of Khambhatfor the provision of surveillance and VTS Information service to all vessel traffic to and from existingand future ports in the Gulf of Khambhat.
The state-of-the-art VTS system includes the upgraded traffic monitoring software, a marine communications system, integrated radar and AIS, and a unique Port Management Information System (PMIS) toimprove the efficiency of VTS services, and so enhancing the safety and security of maritime traffic in the Gulf of Khambhat.
The entire VTS system is operated by IALA certified VTS operators, Supervisors and maintained by highly trained and qualified technical personnel.
Eight radars are installedin the system to provide radar surveillance coverage of the GoKH navigable waters. The radar system is designed to track a maximum of 10,000 targets at any giventime. In 2018, the VTPMS system has been upgraded to incorporate C-Scope, the 7thgeneration Maritime and situational Awareness solution developed by our partner, Kongsberg Norcontrol. The system is equipped with the latest technologies to cater for the operational needs of the next decade.
