Bhavnagar Port, is a seaport in Saurashtra Region of Gujarat state in Western India. Bhavnagar has trade links with Southeast Asia, Africa and Gulf countries since the early 18th century.

The original Bhavnagar Harbor built by the state of Bhavnagar, was a very important part of commerce. It also hosted a light beacon since 1860.

PILOTAGE INSTRUCTIONS FROM TERMINALS OF BHAVNAGAR PORT


Pilotage :Pilotage is compulsory for cargo vessel coming for discharging/ loading. Due notice for requisition of pilot must be given 48 hours in advance, owing to tidal conditions and the vessel should arrive at the Pilot Station approximately two hours before high water.

Anchorages: Vessels up to 12 m draught are recommended at DWA anchorage. Position: 5.1' x 250 (T) from Ghogha to Lighthouse The holding ground, stiff mud and sand is good, while at anchor at DWA, due diligence must be exercised, especially during spring tide.
